These terms govern your use of the South South Media & Entertainment Awards platform, operated by Oga Sammy Media Productions (“SSMEA”, “we”). By using this site or casting a vote, you agree to them.

Voting Rules

• One vote per category per day. Each verified voter may cast at most one vote in each category in any 24-hour voting day. Additional attempts within the window are not counted.
• Verification required. Votes must be confirmed by OTP sent to the phone number (or email) provided. Unverified votes are discarded.
• One identity per voter. Creating multiple identities, using multiple phone numbers, SIM farms, automated scripts, bots, VPN rotation or any other means of multiplying votes is prohibited.
• No vote buying. Offering or accepting payment or other inducements for votes is prohibited and may lead to nominee disqualification.

Anti-Abuse & Disqualification

We monitor voting patterns for fraud. Votes we determine to be fraudulent, automated or otherwise in breach of these rules will be disqualified and removed from the tally, without notice. Where fraud is carried out for the benefit of a nominee — with or without their knowledge — SSMEA reserves the right to disqualify the affected votes and, in serious cases, the nominee. All such decisions are final.

Nominations & Awards

Nomination lists, category criteria and the conduct of the ceremony are determined by SSMEA and its jury. SSMEA may add, merge, or withdraw categories, and may amend nomination lists to correct errors. Award decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Acceptable Use

• Do not attempt to breach, probe or overload the platform.
• Do not scrape or harvest data about voters or nominees.
• Do not impersonate SSMEA, a nominee, or another person.

Content & Brand

All site content, the SSMEA name, crest, trophy design and award materials are the property of Oga Sammy Media Productions or its licensors. Nominee names and institutional marks belong to their respective owners and appear for the purpose of the awards.

Liability

The platform is provided “as is” during the 2026 pilot season. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, SSMEA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or from voting outcomes.
