The SSMEA Organizing Committee has officially announced an update regarding the visibility of votes and the identity of voters, and the overall voting process for the upcoming ceremony, which holds on Sunday, December 6, 2026.
Effective Sunday, November 1, 2026, live voting tallies and ongoing results will not be made visible to the public or the nominees during the active voting window.
This decision has been implemented primarily to heighten suspense and maintain a high level of excitement surrounding this year's highly anticipated ceremony.
By keeping the final tallies secure, the committee aims to deliver a thrilling experience for both the audience and the participants, ensuring that winners are only known on the day of the event.
We want to preserve the magic and integrity of the big reveal. Keeping the ongoing votes confidential prevents predictions from spoiling the outcome and builds an undeniable wave of anticipation leading up to the main stage. The excitement of finding out the results together on the night of the event is a core part of what makes the SSMEA experience so unforgettable.
The committee reassures all stakeholders, nominees and fans that voting security remains the highest priority.
All submitted votes are being securely compiled and verified by an independent auditing process to guarantee completely accurate and fair results.
Voting ends at 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
The results in all categories, complete with comprehensive vote and voter tallies for all nominees, will be made public for independent verification from 11:59 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2026.
